Sacred Shifts & Soft Stands: Trusting My Own Growth
July feels different. Not because the sun is hotter or the days are longer, but because something inside of me has settled and at the same time, awakened. For months, I was in the pivot. And now? I’m in the stand. The stand for who I am, what I believe, and what I deserve.
The Aftermath of the Pivot
When you pivot, people notice. Some get uncomfortable. Others get curious. And a few quietly applaud because they see themselves in your bravery.
After my recent shifts, walking away from what no longer aligned and saying yes to a new version of myself, I noticed something strange: a wave of second-guessing. Not because I regretted the change, but because I wasn’t used to standing in the new space with full confidence.
Have you ever pivoted, then questioned whether you were “doing too much”? That quiet voice whispers:
“Maybe you should go back to the safe version of yourself.”
But I’ve learned this: The safe version of you might be familiar, but she’s not free.
The Power of Choosing You
This month, I’ve been reflecting on what it means to choose me. Not in a selfish way, but in a sacred way. Choosing myself means I no longer shrink to fit comfort zones I’ve outgrown. I no longer water down my ideas just to be palatable. I no longer apologize for asking for what I want.
Choosing yourself doesn’t mean you’re leaving people behind. It means you’re finally catching up to you.
What I’ve Learned About Self-Trust
Self-trust is not built in silence. It’s built through action…….one brave step at a time. This month, I’ve been intentional about asking myself:
- What decision am I avoiding because I don’t want to disappoint anyone?
- What part of me still feels like she needs permission?
- Where am I second-guessing what God already confirmed?
Every time I answer honestly, I feel more grounded.
Because the truth is, self-trust grows when you do what you said you would do even when it’s hard.
Standing in the Shift
This season, I’m not rushing to the next transformation. I’m standing in this one. Letting the dust settle. Letting the strength rise.
If June was about pivoting, July is about standing. Standing in clarity. Standing in truth. Standing in softness. Standing in power.
And I want to encourage you: stand with me.
A Few Affirmations I’m Speaking This Month
- I trust my timing, my growth, and my voice.
- I do not need to shrink to be loved.
- The shift I made was sacred — and I honor it.
- My clarity is enough. My peace is proof.
- I am becoming someone I’m proud of.
Your Turn
What shift have you made this year that felt hard, but holy? Are you still second-guessing it?
Here’s your reminder: you don’t need another sign. The shift was sacred. Now, you get to stand in it.
Let’s grow boldly together.
With power & softness,
Alicia White
